सार

Numismatics as an auxiliary science or ancillary is very useful for reconstructing the ancient history of a region or a country. It is generally believed that numismatics merely confirms history but seldom modifies or amplifies it. Thus, yaudheya’s were one of the most important tribal republican people of ancient India and their coins are wider spread in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and U.P. Their coins have been classified by several scholars in different classes, type and periods according to their distinct varieties.
